Sep 10, 2012 · In the initial setup, and before you create any drive make sure you set aside enough space on each drive for your swap space. I think FreeNAS's default is 2GB per drive. Dump the hardware RAID or go UFS. It really is one or the other. I go with mirrored. Much better performance from ZFS.
