We are having the same issue as well. It appears to be a change made in the latest version of Chrome that is not allowing certain plugins to load. Both Adobe Reader and FoxIt Reader are no longer appearing under chrome://plugins. The only PDF viewer listed is the default plugin from Chrome.

Sep 26, 2011 · - I copied C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\plugins\npFoxitReaderPlugin.dll to the above 1.0.154.48 directory and restarted Chrome to get it working. I noticed a minor issue in that, if you have Chrome set to automatically restore pages when opening, the plugin doesn't open a previously-open PDF quite right.
