    Jul 25, 2008 · Foxconn is a large OEM motherboard manufacturer, but according to a thread on the Ubuntu Forums, they refuse to support Linux. There is a bug in one of their DSDT tables for their BIOS that's causing installation issues with Linux. The DSDT for Windows is correct, but Foxconn isn't interested in issuing a (simple) update to fix the Linux support.

    Did they or didn't they say they don't support Linux? So if pressure hadn't been brought to bear on them, they wouldn't have fixed the BIOS problems off their own bat, correct? So how does this redeem them all of a sudden? Unless they've possibly changed their policy? Ryan Farmer should be getting the credit for this, not Foxconn.
