[0x7f529c004470] main decoder error: no suitable decoder module for fourcc `mp4a'. VLC probably does not support this sound or video format. I thought that Ubuntu supported all the latest codecs. Is there a way to fix this? Or even a way to convert my video for use? I imagine that it could have to do with ffmpeg, but I have no idea.

This does not look like a valid ticket: $ ffmpeg -i input1 -i input2 output will (assuming both input files contain at least an audio and a video stream) only use streams from input1. Please test the different ways of concatenation and report back. And please test current git head, enhancement requests are not accepted for releases.

Dec 07, 2013 · I forced strictness to -2 in FFMpeg options in advanced VLC options. It's under Tools>Preferences, then I click All under Show settings, click on Video codecs under Input / Codecs, then FFmpeg . So it's: Tools>Preferences>Video codecs>FFmpeg . Under FFmpeg I scroll down to under Encoding and I go to Strict standard compliance and I set it to -2 .

Nov 16, 2018 · Older ffmpeg doesn't use nvENC API version 8.2, that's why it works. I have the same issue with ffmpeg 4.1, latest nv-codec-headers and Linux driver 410.73. If I compile ffmpeg with nv-codec-headers from sdk/8.1 head, of course it works. Any hint?

Jan 11, 2009 · I added the CF and LD flag so the build processes can find the x264 and ffmpeg libs and include files. After building and installing it turns out, vlc can encode h264, but doesn't know how to encode aac/mp4a nor mp3.
