Apr 14, 2011 · Even though this talks about BOOTing from SATA, I found that it concerns eSATA, also. After I had installed Windows 7, I bought an esata Thermaltake Blacx and it was not recognized. I had to enable AHCI in the bios (which then crashed my Windows 7 system at boot time).

Western Digital 320GB USB 2.0 hard drive doesn't work in my desktop (7 64bit) system - but works fine in my laptop (Windows 7 64bit) and any other computer I use..

Dec 15, 2019 · This is purely out of curiosity, so there's no rush. Is Windows 10 incompatible with eSATA? I have a couple of eSATA docks that used to work perfectly with Windows 7, but with 10 either they're recognized and dropped after a few minutes, or they're not recognized at all.
