Oct 10, 2013 · I'm trying to install an older program on Windows 7 ( Tropico 2). Only every time I try to install it I get the "An Installation support file could not be installed Interface not registered" message.

Looking at the properties of this file, it was digitally signed in 2006, the file I copied from the BPC installation was signed in 2007. I assume that windws used the original one. So I renamed the one in c:\windows\system32 directory to XCeedzip.dll_bak and copied the new one into the c:\windows\system32 directory.
