From here make sure Enable native XMLHTTP support is checked (like in the image below) and then click OK. If the setting is not available or grayed out you may need to contact your IT administrator. After adjusting this setting, reload the web page and it should function as expected.

Aug 15, 2017 · The code you are using should work fine in IE7 to determine that the "Enable Native XMLHTTP Support" option is checked. You can set the IE's document mode to check this issue. It seems that the window.XMLHttpRequest is always working on IE 8 and IE8+ no matter that the Enable Native XMLHTTP Support" option is checked or not.

To fix this issue the user will need to enable native XMLHTTP support by going to: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, scrolling down to security and ticking the box next to Enable Native XMLHTTP Support, then click OK.
