So I prefer to use FireFox over IE7 and my IT company is saying that I need to find the similar setting to Enable Native XMLHTTP Support which is a part of IE7. Can any help with this?

Users using Etherpad with Internet Explorer 7+ may have an issue where they cannot load a pad as it seems to get stuck on "Loading". To fix this issue the user will need to enable native XMLHTTP support by going to: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, scrolling down to security and ticking the box next to Enable Native XMLHTTP Support, then click OK.

Nov 27, 2011 · Those users who can ENABLE this setting, or whose IE has the setting enabled, will not suffer from the mentioned problem. Unlucky are users in companies where the IE was rolled out without the user permission to change this value. So my summary: ENABLE native XMLHTTP support. and you will not have this problem.
