Mar 05, 2014 · I need to enable bidirectional support to get my printer working fully, but the button is greyed out in the printer properties I recently upgraded from Windows 8 to windows 8.1 and lost all functionality for my Kodak printer.

Trying to scan to or from my KodakESP1.2+4551 Allinone printer to my Notebook results in "Bidirectional support disabled". On the ports tab for the printer, the "Enable bidirectional support" option is grayed out.

To check the bi-directional setting Click on the "Start" button and choose "Printers and Faxes" from the menu. Right-click on your Kodak printer and choose "Properties" from the menu. All we want is to figure out how to enable bidirectional support. If the printer can tell the computer to display low toner warnings and the computer can tell the printer what to print, then it is already communicating both ways. Any assistance in getting this issue resolved would be greatly appreciated.
