The desktop is running XP Home Edition V5.1, I can see no obvious differences in the set up and ENABLE BI-DI SUPPORT is available and selected. Both have the port "CNBJNP_000085F8A035" selected with a description of "CANON BJ NETWORK PORT" and the printer "CANON MP620 SERIES PRINTER" (All are my capitals for emphasis).

I have tried two different drivers for a Brother DCP-7020 printer, and under properties, ports, the option for "Enable bidirectional support is gray and not available. That option needs to be turned on for the RD printing to work, I believe, and the printing is not working. How can I get this option turned on, and/or why is it grayed out? Thanks!

The Enable bidirectional support box is greyed out If you cannot click in the box, the printer driver may be set to the wrong port. Check the fields under Port, Description, and Printer columns to confirm the printer is set to the proper port. You may need to scroll to see all the entries.
