Dec 12, 2005 · My problem was with VR mode. If I use video mode with a dvd-rw, it works perfectly on my PC and standaone player (a cheap apex). VR mode is a special mode that WinXP doesn't seem to understand. I did find some software that claimed it could read VR mode disks and let you copy the contents to your computer.

Jan 10, 2014 · Is there any option to record in Video mode?... since VR Mode appears to be what the machine is objecting to? I don't have any information on this machine so cannot remark on its disc support... but is it possible it is expecting to see DVD+R discs? There will be something in the manual about the formats it will support. .
