Financial Support This information is for home and EU undergraduates and PGCE students. The majority of home undergraduate and PGCE students pay for their tuition fees, accommodation, other living and course costs by taking out a Tuition Fee Loan and a Maintenance Loan from the government.

The Student Support Fund is available to all students: undergraduate, postgraduate, home, overseas, students who are based in Durham and distance learning students. It is means-tested on your personal income (not that of your parents/partner). Only students who have a shortfall between the money available to them and their essential expenditure according to our Assessment Procedure will receive money from the Fund.
