Mar 22, 2008 · The DSL-G604T *does* indeed support WDS. The hardware is inherently capable of it - the device just needs to be running the right firmware. WDS was first (?) implemented in firmware V3.02. This was released by D-Link AU for the hardware Rev C device (ie the DSL-G604T Gen II model) but later withdrawn in favour of a version without this feature.

Mar 08, 2015 · Hi everyone I want to set up an old DSL-G604T Wireless Router as an extender/repeater for my WiFi. I know that I have to have an Ethernet Cable to do this, so I have set that up between my existing router and my secondary router.

May 13, 2007 · A quick browse through the decompressed (.xml) version of the config file shows that it has presets for a WDS mode (as does the V3 firmware for the DSL-G604T Gen II product available in AU), remote SSH connection, and QoS settings (although the DSL-G604T switch chip does not support QoS, unlike that in the DSL-G624T).

Jun 01, 2008 · Think I might be halfway there. Although the g604t doesn't mention wds or repeater stations in its setup, I think it might be working after selecting it from my bthomehub. I used the same ssid, channel number and wpa settings and my laptop now sees a very strong connection compared to the previously low strength connection.
