Mar 30, 2019 · When I try to download a program like adobe acrobat or even the malicious software removal tool for windows my downloads stall at 99 % and will not finish. This happens with all program downloads. I thought it might be my anti-virus program so I disabled it and got the same result. I never had this problem with Windows XP running IE 7 or 8.

Moreover, the install disk and the recovery disk are showing that the MBP is still on Lion - the install disk is still showing the "install Snow Leopard" dialogue box while the recovery disk is showing the option "Set up and restore Lion" (or something like that, I can't remember), while when choosing the startup disk, it shows "Macintosh HD Mac OS X 10.6.7"!

Apr 30, 2016 · I get to the Downloading WIndows support software screen and it just sits on "Estimated download time: 0 minues 0 seconds remaining" and sits therefor hours on end. I have tried your suggestion Loner T and for me this "does" download and creates a file on my desktop (where I asked it to save to for the test).

This problem can occur if Windows Installer is busy. If Windows Update is using Windows Installer, the Office installation has to wait until the update process has finished with the Windows Installer. Also, if Windows Installer itself is hanging, Office won't be able to get past the 90% mark.
