The DROP target in the BROUTING chain doesn't change the MAC destination to the bridge device, by default. You need to explicitly do this by using the redirect target: ebtables -t broute -A BROUTING -p IPv4 -j redirect --redirect-target DROP It might still not work then, because ARP replies arrive on the wrong device.
