Nov 29, 2019 · Emby Version 3.0.5621.4. I've noticed that any of my MKV/MP4/AVI files that have AAC audio seem to be transcoding when I play them on my xbox one. I find this odd because it's an AAC codec being transcoded back into AAC but with out 5.1 output.

Jan 14, 2011 · Hello, I'm evaluating mezzmo as my media server, but it doesn't stream my mp4 videos to my xbox 360. This is probably because of the fact that the xbox 360 only supports 2 channel aac audio and my video's are 5.1. I would suspect mezzmo to transcode the audio to 2.0 but that doesn't seem to happen. Can this be added to the xbox 360 profile?

May 14, 2012 · However, movie files with AAC 5.1 audio do not. I don't get any sound out of my receiver until I select the "Downmix multichannel audio to stereo" box. I have to set my AV receiver to convert the (now downmixed) stereo signal back to either Pro Logic or Pro Logic II to get some sort of 5.1 audio.
