Oct 10, 2013 · The subtitles have to be hardcoded into the file, and even then I've had problems getting them working. Often times subtitles cause playback problems in extenders.. It's frustrating. There is a way to use an xbox 360 with srt files however. Playon.tv has their Playon/MyMedia software that supports .srt files....It functions like a DLNA server.

Jan 09, 2015 · It also supports .SRT subs. Just happened across this post in hopes that someone had figured out a workaround to the no SRT support on xbox one and figured i would share my experience with Media Player Classic involving MKV files.

Sep 21, 2008 · XBOX 360 does not currently support srt or other subtitle files when playing your divx movies. From the official xbox website: "Some files authored for DivX devices also may contain additional functionality (menus, subtitles, multiple audio tracks, and so on).
