Sep 22, 2008 · Does WPA2 encryption work with the XBox 360 Wireless Network Adapter? I am thinking about getting an XBox360 and I have done some research about connecting to Live. I need to connect my XBox to my router with the 360 wireless network adapter. My router uses WPA2 encryption, so I was wondering, does the XBox wireless adapter work with WPA2?

Note You can use an Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter with the Xbox 360 S console. If your wireless router is not near your console, you may get a better wireless signal by using a wireless networking adapter. When you connect an Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter to an Xbox 360 S console, the console automatically uses the wireless adapter instead of the built-in Wi-Fi.

Apr 05, 2014 · For a very long time now I have been unable to connect to from my MW2 Xbox 360 (via the use of a wireless adapter) to my Linksys WRT54G2 Router while it was passworded. Neither WPA, WPA2, or WEP protocols work. The Xbox has no trouble picking up the signal and recognizing my network as well as other networks, but will not connect to the internet or LIVE.

Oct 28, 2009 · For the record the 360 would NOT see the AP when set to WPA2 only, but when set to WPA/WPA2 AES it connects and functions fine (in WPA mode, whereas the PS3 will do WPA2). All is well for the moment, now if the official N adapter brings WPA2 support I can turn of WPA and I will be completely satisfied.
