Does Windows 7 support hyperthreading? First of all: I'm quite enthousiast about Windows 7. Only I wonder whether the OS supports the hyperthreading-possibillity's of my P4 Prescott CPU. Apr 20, 2012 · Hey all! Simple question. What games benefit from Hyper Threading? Been in a discussion about this, where the other guy called me stupid, and claimed i5 2500k is a bad choice for gaming (lolwtf?) and would bottle neck a GTX 680 badly. Dec 17, 2014 · So, AMD is ahead of Intel with the GHz even though Intel have hyper-threading and AMD chips do not This is the answer to the question posed in this thread (Does AMD have equivalent to Intel Hyperthreading?) AMD does better then hyperthreading because with their bios they achieve greater speeds (not an opinion, it's a fact).

Apr 11, 2019 · Even though the i7-9700K does not support multi-threading, would you still see the related performance improvements from the 8.1.5 patch because multiple cores would be used? Or is the CPU required to support true multi-threading to see the improvements? Thanks in advance!

Sep 02, 2014 · Programs either support multiple-cores or they don't: whether it's Hyper Threading or not is immaterial to them. AFAIK, Unreal supports multiple cores. That said, it would be very interesting to see the compile times for the various CPUs. Does anyone have this list?

Oct 09, 2019 · Since hyper-threading only boosts the “real” core by a few percentage points, an 8 vCPU guest on a stressed non-HT host will outperform an 8 vCPU guest on an otherwise equivalent stressed HT host.
