Dec 28, 2005 · Unless the SCSI PCI card is Windows XP compatible it won't work. You will need a SCSI card that is Windows XP compatible (and possibly XP specific drivers as older Windows drivers are incompatible). However, before you go off looking for a compatible SCSI card you need to confirm that the old peripherals are XP compatible.

Jun 12, 2011 · The virtual copy of Windows XP is running on virtual hardware, it does not have driver level access to the physical SCSI card. If you look in device manager of Windows XP mode, the only item that will match your actual physical hardware is the CPU type, and it can only see one core if you have more than one core.

Oct 16, 2019 · Hi, I'm using the virtIO drivers iso (0.1.126 ) so I can install the ISCI drivers so I can switch the IDE virtual disk to SCSI, the driver install wizard has taken so far more than 30 minutes and apprently isn't doing anything, the GUI refreshes as if it was actually working but I've been waiting a long time and it's apprently not.

Oct 16, 2009 · The XP works fine theoretically, BUT it doesn't support the freaking software RAID I'm after. There's possibility to run it hardware with the onbard host raid controller, but I'll need a zero host raid pci-x extension card for that and I'm not really going to pay 200 bucks or so for some pci-x card, that most likely won't even work properly.
