Sep 19, 2015 · I have DELL Inspiron N5010 laptop which has Legacy BIOS and doesn't seem to support UEFI. I recently purchased a Windows 8.1 Installation DVD, but I'm unable to boot the OS from DVD. Is there any issue with installing Windows 8.1 on Legacy BIOS? And is there any solution? Regards, Shrikanth

Jul 30, 2015 · While it is great to learn that Legacy continues to work well after upgrading to windows 10, I would be hesitant to rush out and upgrade to windows 10 as soon as it is available. I upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10 yesterday and I ended up reverting back to windows 8.1.
