Windows 7: RC no longer includes a Bluetooth audio class driver (However, do support A2DP) Since my laptop is a lower end of the Acer Aspire series it does not have Bluetooth hardware built in. What I did was go to eBay and bought a USB Bluetooth dongle and with a week and a half waiting here it is.

Jan 15, 2019 · Amazingly, Windows does not provide any tool or API for monitoring the codec used by A2DP. Whether it is SBC, aptX or something different – users are left completely in the dark. To help change that and encourage Microsoft to provide more visibility, please vote for please let users see what Bluetooth A2DP codec is used.

I have no issues playing my bluetooth speakers or headset on my phone or iPod but it they do not function properly on my laptop, its all choppy, going in and out. I am told I need to update or install an A2DP driver in order for my accessories to play correctly but I cant seem to find one here??

Jan 16, 2018 · Any Bluetooth audio product you purchase—headphones, speakers, mobile phones, laptops—will support A2DP at the very least, whether or not it can also work with aptX. My trusty, rusty Motorola s305 Bluetooth headphones from 2009 only support A2DP. The A2DP standard operates in stereo and supports most of the standard audio compression codecs.
