May 27, 2009 · Windows 7 and touch Screen support I currently have Win 7 RC installed on an ex Point of Sale terminal, all running fine. The terminal also has an integrated resistive touch panel overlaid on the screen. i know it's not a multi-touch interface, just a standard "mouse-replacement" touch screen, and using WinXP touch screen drivers.

Aug 06, 2013 · If that unit does not have keyboard then while using Windows 7 as a touchscreen will work. They have many touch screens only as Windows 7. We tested one and trying on was difficult at best. It will not work as slick as an ipad for typing. Windows 7 was not designed to be a on a touch screen. You might want to leave it try it at a windows 8.

Dec 28, 2016 · The model ships with Windows 8.1 and above by default and Dell does not provide driver / software support for any other OS than what is shipped with the model. I had been looking into various touch screen controller vendors for "generic" drivers such as Atmel, Synaptics, etc, but have not had any luck with driver / firmware installs so far.
