Aug 31, 2009 · Also, I highly doubt Nintendo would use this technique on their own titles, and certainly not Twilight Princess as it runs in progressive scan on Gamecube (NTSC) and Wii (NTSC and PAL), so you have to consider that true progressive scan was meant to be included from the start, as it was with Wind Waker (NTSC).

Oct 08, 2007 · Nintendo and other publishers never really promoted the higher resolution due to the general population’s lack of proper HDTVs. Now a few years down the line and we find ourselves with shiny, new HDTVs. Conveniently, almost 200 Gamecube titles will output at 480p. We’ve compiled a list of GC games that have progressive scan and/or widescreen.

Games that do not have progressive scan support will not display the prompt, but can still be played with component cables, although in 480i. Progressive scan compatible games played on a Wii console set to 480p mode with component cables will always automatically display the prompt.

Dec 31, 2013 · On the GameCube, after pressing the power button, the GameCube logo and intro appear (the start-up screen) giving you time to hold the 'B' button and enable progressive scan. On Dolphin, the game begins instantly with no start-up screen and there is no time to hold down the 'B' button to enable progressive scan.

Jun 20, 2007 · If you would like to help, make a note in this thread of what game(s) you have that support Progressive Scan. I'll add these titles to the above list. I can't imagine anyone doesn't know this but the back of the game boxes have little icons for things like the number of memory card slots required and the number of players.
