Burning a CD or DVD can be accomplished via the file manager, Windows® Explorer. Windows Vista® also supports writing data to a DVD, as does the latest version, Windows® 7. In addition, Windows® 7 also includes support for the direct writing of ISO files.

May 23, 2007 · I'll assume you mean DVD burning software. I believe Vista does come with DVD burning capability so assuming your computer has a DVD burner, you should be able to burn DVDs using Vista. But it doesn't support DVD copying, so if that's what you want you're going to need 3rd party software. Of course that's illegal, so be aware of that as well.

Dec 07, 2014 · Does XP service pack 3 not support burning data to DVDs using the built-in tools or do I need to reinstall or repair XP to get it to recognize that the CD-only burner has been replaced with a DVD burner? It would be easier to just find some free 3rd party tools.
