Dec 20, 2010 · Does the ATT UVERSE suppied modem fully support UPnP I currently have one xbox 360 connected to my router/modem via cable, not wireless and I want to connect a second xbox with another xbox live account but in order to do so the router/modem must fully support UPnP.

New U-Verse Modem / Router in one does NOT support UPnP. Must manually port forward apps through router firewall, this is stupid, the benefits of UPnP far outweigh the so called risks of it. I chuckle at non geeks calling tech support with wat the hells a port forward calls. The TV service has many drawbacks as well.

As many people are aware, uVerse modems don't allow themselves to be placed in true Bridge mode. I have 3 Plume Superpods and they are currently auto-configured in Bridge-mode so that the Arris BGW210 does the IP allocation, firewall, etc. One or two of the pods and a number of non-WiFi devices are jacked into the router.

Okay, the router doesn't support UPnP so you have to setup the port manually but I can't seem to find what port the chromecast uses but you can always just use DMZ plus. Login to the router (192.168.1.254 if you haven't changed it), click on settings, then firewall, then "applications, pinholes and DMZ.
