Feb 25, 2011 · One thing i notice is the Bible never condemns slavery in ether the Old or New Testaments. It does however show its full support for slavery by giving specific rules on the proper way of beating and owning a slave along with the proper way for a slave to behave in relations to his/her master.

Romans 13 and Titus 3 do not speak at all about slavery, but rather of **governing** authorities. The New Testament is consistent in its message that Christians are to be humble and hard-working, whether they be slaves or not.

Rather there is an entire book of the New Testament (Philemon) in which Paul writes to a slave owner who has converted to the Christian faith and tells him to free his slave.
