May 06, 2010 · Sony is the inventor and rights holder of AVCHD coding. No video editing program is going to handle AVCHD better that Sony Vegas. Of all the Vegas products, Vegas Movie Studio is the only one that is NOT an HD video editor. To edit HD you need Sony Vegas Platinum or Pro editions.
