Dec 13, 2019 · As I understand Wii is capable of producing 480p, but can I transmit 480p format to the TV (which is capable of it) through S-video connector? Or the only options are DVI and component video for TV being able to receive 480p? Thanks you for replies.

Dec 16, 2016 · Handles S-video and Composite both well, outputs 720p and 1080p properly. Note that the output will be 16:9 fullscreen, so if you are using an old game console or VHS that is meant for 4:3 you'll have to see if your TV lets you force the aspect ratio.3.7/5

Color rendering is a step better than s-video, but what's more significant is that Y/Pb/Pr component video will also support higher resolutions and progressive scan, so if your video is running at 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, (or, for that matter, any other oddball resolution which your source and display devices both support), you can make use of the full capabilities of your equipment.

Jul 25, 2013 · Component cable will support up to the 720P. Keep in mind that is only for the video and you will need another cable for the audio (RCA for stereo and optical for multi channel). HDMI cable is the best cable to use, it carries both the video of 1080p and up to the 7.1 audio. Hope this will help you out.

Dec 13, 2019 · 720p and 1080p TVs are both classified as HDTVs but often times 1080p TVs are labeled as FHD (Full HD) TVs. This is intended to assist consumers by pointing out that TVs with 1080p native resolution display take full advantage of HD video resolution standards and will not be a scaled-down result from 1080i and 1080p content sources as they would be on a 720p TV.
