Jun 17, 2010 · RGB is an SD signal, so only 720x480 picture, or regular dvd quality. If your TV does not say 1080p or 720p then it is a 720x480 resolution, regardless of the size. (1080p = 1920x1080 resolution) (720p = 1280x720 resolution)

My TV supports 1080p from this unit, not 720p for some reason, but I think that has more to do with my DVD player (more in a moment) than the device itself. If it doesn't work for you, try the troubleshooting steps from the seller before giving a one star review.3.6/5(746)

Not only is it supported, but, when I tried to compare 1080p transmitted to the same monitor via VGA vs. HDMI, I really could not tell any noticeable difference. This may not be true for all monitors (depending on their D-to-A converters). There was an extra step to get VGA configured just right.

The sales guy said a VGA cable can't carry a 1080p signal, but I wonder if that's true, as the 360 does show full hd as an option, even though it changes these options every time you plug in a different cable. Jul 25, 2013 · Regarding Xbox360, you will notice a significant difference between composite (yellow) and component (red, green, blue). Composite is lower quality and resolution than component. Componet will be higher resolution, sharper edges and vivid colors. Since your TV does support component, you should be able to receive 480i and maybe 480p format.
