Oct 16, 2008 · PSP & Wireless Encryption - Any way to get WPA2 connected? - posted in Vita / PSP: My wireless network at home is encrypted with WPA2 and I noticed the PSP doesn't connect to it. Any way to get it connected without changing my security settings? This is horrible by Sony not to put this technology in yet.

Aug 17, 2013 · WPA2 is actually partially supported - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Go to "Network Settings", select Infrastructure Mode, then "Scan", select your SSID, then manually select the encryption type "WPA-PSK (AES)" and proceed to typing in your network key. If it works, lucky you. If it does not, you'll have to change your network settings and use WPA encryption for your network instead.

In order to connect your computer to a WPA2 network, you need to provide a unique password. If you're attempting to connect your Sony PSP to the network you will still have to provide that password to get the device connected. This is accomplished via a manual configuration of the PSP's network settings.

Feb 29, 2012 · "The PSP does NOT support WPA2. So the best security the PSP can do is WPA-PSK (AES). Your router must be set to WPA only, or WPA2+WPA mixed mode. Also, your router must be set to wireless "B" compatibility mode (802.11b). Many "N" routers have "B" off by default, so set your router to wireless B+G, or B+G+N mode.
