Whatever you do, 7200 rpm hdd is the worst choice you can make. If you go with a ssd I recommend getting one with automatic trim function and trash collection, because the ps3 does not support this by itself. Samsung 850 Evo has this for example (incidentally the drive I have :p)

Though 7200rpm does create more heat, uses more energy, and is louder, but thats basic knowledge from working on computers, and 7200rpm's bearings run at a faster speed and can be worn out faster in constant use.
