Jul 10, 2009 · I have a Dell Dimension 5150, pentium 4, 3Ghz, bought march 2006, no bios update (wouldn't know how to do that with a Dell pc!) and the Intel Processor ID Utility tells me: 'NO virtualization possible on your machine'.... and I wonder: does this really mean NO?

I think this model is compatible with the Pentium D 960, which supports hardware virtualization. You'll likely need a different heatsink, however.

Aug 08, 2015 · I'm receiving the message "The CPU isn't supported" in the "Get Windows 10" app, against this older CPU (Pentium 4 550 running at 3.40 GHz). 3.40 GHz is greater than the 1 GHz listed in the system requirements. Does Windows 10 have a thing against Hyper-Threading, or require Virtualization tech from Intel CPUs? Are Pentium 4s not supported at all?
