Jan 22, 2016 · The MS Paint code base is way too old to have pen pressure support. It actually does not even support the pen and thinks it's your mouse. If you want to doodle with a simple free tool designed for the pen, have a look at Microsoft FreshPaint.

May 13, 2010 · Has anyone been able to make the pressure sensitivity work with paint.net, I know there are threads and threads about getting pressure sensitivity to work, and I have tried all those tips, but haven't seen anything directly related to paint.net.

More importantly, at least for Paint.NET, is that it has a good Wacom-based stylus/pen with pressure sensitivity. I originally dropped pressure sensitivity in v3.5 because that part of the code was getting in the way of some very important improvements to the input system for the brush tools.

Mar 18, 2014 · Paint.NET doesn't support pressure sensitivity and is why you're experiencing the lag. Gimp is a great program, but it's confusing (to me, at least) and you can substitute with free versions of ArtWeaver, TwistedBrush Open Studio, and PaintTool Sai.

Dec 16, 2009 · Obviously Paint.net is a staple in my tool box for clean, quick photo edits that don't take 5 minutes to load on my limited processor-power tablet PC (omg, Adobe Premiere.) To my utter horror, the new version doesn't have pressure sensitivity.
