Hello Filippo: OpenBTS does not support LTE. OpenBTS supports GSM and GPRS. OpenBTS-UMTS supports WCDMA (3GPP Release 99). For SDR-based LTE solutions, look at OpenLTE, srsLTE, and Eurecom OpenAirInterface (OAI). I think there is some confusion in your question. The host computer will connect to the radio, such as a USRP N200, over 1 Gb Ethernet.
