It should be noted however, that because the PC version of the game was optimized to play with a keyboard and mouse, the experience will NOT be the same, as using a 360 controller on the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Ive always played pc games with a 360 controller emulator, and for Oblivion, after a few weeks failing to map a good one, found an excellent Xpadder config. The only hitch is its only published on the closed forum site, so you wouldnt find it with google.

Well, the games that support them support them. Skyrim allows for it, and you'd have to check with Oblivion. Morrowind and before were pre-360, so don't. Besides, Arena and Daggerfall have too many controls for a normal controller to work!

Jun 05, 2019 · Within the past few days, I think I may have found a pretty good controller scheme for Oblivion using an Official Xbox 360 Controller (Wired or Wireless) and an application called, "JoyToKey" or "Xpadder" but keep in mind that if you want to use a Wireless Controller, you will need to get a Wireless Gaming Receiver, so you can get to use it on a PC.

Here's something many people do not seem to know for some strange reason: Oblivion has controller support, it's just not compatible with an Xbox360 controller. Here's how you fix that: Download xpader or some equivalent, then map the right stick as the mouse and the triggers as the mouse buttons.
