Is the WDS/Repeater mode available on the R8000? Currently, the WDS/Repeater mode feature can only be supported without security. Therefore, we have removed it from the R8000. NETGEAR will implement this feature again with security support around the end of Q4.

Netgear have been removing WEP/WDS as firmware has been updated for a number or wireless routers. If you have Cat5e around the house then using those routers as APs with a connection to the wired LAN would provide far better throughput and reliability than wireless repeating. _____
