Mar 11, 2009 · So far it works well, but with one big problem. It looks that dd-wrt.v24_micro mis-configured the Lan-Port4 and Wan-Port. -- I have to use Lan-Port4 as uplink port to my modem. I also wondering why dd-wrt.v24_micro does not support SSH; can the developers chop down some other packages but add-on SSH?

Aug 19, 2008 · I think we need a chk-compiled version of micro or micro-plus (i dont know if CSE is 128 or 256k), so we could start 1st with DD-WRT. But i could only find mini or standard firmwares in chk-format. I am very sure that WGR614L, WGR614v8 and WGR614v9 use the same board and hardware except less flash and RAM for the last one.

Beyond setting up this bridge; you can do more, even add virtual wireless interfaces just like you are able in a dd-wrt. Basically, these netgear routers CAN do the majority of what DD-WRT's can do but netgear was too lazy to program the ability into the web gui. If you're good at java and html, you can even finish the web files in /var/www.
