Feb 22, 2012 · Firstly you have to check to make sure your video card can support component video (Y Pb Pr or Sync on Green) but good luck finding information on this the only info I've found is sketchy at best but as a rule Nvidia cards don't support VGA to Component but ATI Radeon Cards do via an adaptor that's bundled with the Radeon cards.

VGA-to-component cables are generally for projector systems that use the 15-pin connector for both to save board space. There is a very, very, very small number of video cards that support YPbPr over their 15-pin connectors. And I have yet to see a laptop with one.
