Jul 27, 2010 · Now that I've done so I don't know what to look at to determine this.CPU-Z has so many tabs full of information but I don't know where to look or what standard it needs to be in order to cope with SSE2. Also I want to know that if I do have it, but not the correct verison (SSE2,) then how I can upgrade to get to that version, SSE2.

I used the command: cat /proc/cpuinfo However when i looked for anything regarding "sse" i didn't find anything unless it is a different term that i am not aware of. If anyone knows how to check if a linux-based pc supports sse2 or sse3 let me know. thanks in advance.

In the 'Messages' of Boinc is shows 'Processor Features' and shows: Processor features: fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 pni mmx Yet, when I look on the net I find it is higher than the sse2? I am just looking for some clarification so I know what optimized app version to install.
