if there is a slot for an option ROM it certainly means that there is no pxe in your nic. You could try Pxe-on-floppy or USB or cd-rom. Check gpxe project for instance otherwise, there should be some pxe code that could be enabled in your NIC.

Apr 27, 2012 · The BIOS has an option called "LAN BOOT". This usually means PXE booting in most BIOS'. But for the life of me I can not get it to work. Both NIC's are set to "ENABLED" yet I can never get a link light on either at launch nor does a boot to NIC option show up on the F11 menu.
