Jan 30, 2013 · The wireless router then connects to the other devices in my house. But I want to move my iMac to another room and need the airport-card to work. It was bought with it, but it has never been switched on. Any suggestions, where to check: 1.if the aiport-card has been installed when I bought it?

Jul 17, 2012 · No. An Airport Express only connects to a PC or Mac wirelessly. Connecting it via USB or Ethernet doesn't turn it into a wireless adaptor. Just get a USB wireless adaptor.

Jun 24, 2011 · you can either connect a usb wireless modem or you can install an airport card. it is very important that you do not buy the airport extreme card as it will not work with the machine that out of date (but still great I bet) if you do go with the usb connection make sure 1st it will work and 2nd you have the drivers + software needed so that they are compatible
