He didn’t , what Lenin did was distort Marx to suit his own ends , Marx initially thought that a violent revolution was necessary simply because at that time the working class didn’t get to vote and up until then all revolutions had been violent .

Regarding peaceful revolution, or revolution through the legislative process, yes, he does say that it could be achieved.
