Aug 29, 2013 · MS itself agrees if you ask them that MS Word for Mac does not support Arabic (or any Indic script). The only partial exception I know of is if you get a MS Word for Windows document where they have embedded the Arabic font it may work when opened in MS Word for Mac.

Jul 24, 2015 · Apple native office products such as Pages do support Arabic, so i don't really see why Microsoft can't support Arabic. This have been going for years, without a major attention from Microsoft to this issue. At least we need a temporary workaround. Please give your support here so Microsoft can do something about this before end of this year. Thanks,

The issue is not that Apple doesn’t support Arabic language (it does). The problem is that Microsoft Office for Mac is not built to work with right-to-left languages like Arabic, Farsi, and so on. And since most workplaces use Office as the standard software package, it is difficult (but not totally impossible) to use Office for Mac as an Arabic language word processor.

Pages has worked well, it looks simple, it does everything Word does (that i ever used), it takes up less storage space on my mac, and it hasn’t slowed my mac down or crashed yet. So I give it my approval :D I officially took the next step and have deleted office from my computer
