Apr 12, 2010 · New Ipod Touch will not connect to any combination of WPA or WPA2 wireless security whilst WEP is fine but not preferred. Router is most up to date firmware.No Mac filtering in place. Changed model of router but same problem. All other devices incl. Mac, Linux comp, WiFi Internet radio & Wii connect with no probelms to the same WPA2 network.

Dec 17, 2009 · There is an issue with the firmware 2.1.1 and the new release of the Ipod touch. The conflict will not allow this release of the touch hardware to "join" or connect with a wpa or wpa2 network.

Jul 14, 2008 · Apparently, my university's wifi network is a WPA one. I was told several months ago that the 2.0 update would allow me to connect to the wifi, but I still can't. I was under the impression that the Touch supported WPA. Am I wrong? The university tech person said that it does not.
