Apr 04, 2012 · It has to do with the SMS messaging protocol over BT. Sync use BlueTooths' Message Access Profile specification which Apple's iPhone does not support at this time. Nov 01, 2015 · SMS is a carrier-provided messaging service that works with your phone number and therefore over large distances. Bluetooth is very short distance networking protocol that works between various devices but has a very limited distance range. That being said, sending messages via Bluetooth is not a function built-in to iOS that I know of.
