Dec 18, 2019 · Internet Explorer issue with opening tiff files I have a problem with Internet Explorer 11 and the Active X Alternatiff plugin. Every time a certain tif or tiff file is clicked in Internet Explorer it opens with an empty window and an X in the upper left corner.

I don't know where to put this question, so since IE is installed with XP I'll ask it here. I have a user running Win XP with SP2. Her Internet Explorer cannot open TIF files, it doesn't recognize the file as something it can open.

Apr 05, 2018 · The .tif file always is opened in internet explorer 11 in windows 10 even I set "open in client applications" and configure the default file association. But it can work in SharePoint 2010 and windows 7 with IE11, SharePoint 2013 and windows server 2008 R2 with IE 11, and SharePoint 2013 and windows server 2012 with IE 10.
