Jun 16, 2009 · The Intel 2200bg definitely supports WPA2. I have one running WPA2 in a T42 running both Win XP and Win 7. As fmyhr says you need to be sure you're running a version of Win XP which supports WPA2. SP1 does not support it, but there is a Microsoft patch.

Jan 14, 2007 · 660H, Intel 2200bg, wpa2 no connect I have a 660H- 3.4v, a 2200bg - 10.5.1v, it all works well with WPA-PSK but when I change to WPA2-PSK it does not connect. Change back to WPA and all works well.

Jan 23, 2011 · Correct, the 2100 card does not support WPA2 encryption. If you absolutely need WPA2, you will need to upgrade to a newer card that supports it. I believe that the 2300 series of Intel's wireless cards do and ever card made after that.

Oct 05, 2005 · Hp is telling me that the overall hardware in the laptop does not support WPA key but WEP only even thought I have the latest drivers from intel and the latest hot fixes from Mircosoft SP 2. My thinking was the encryption is based on the type of wireless card you have! I have all updated firmware for my wrt54g router linksys.
