iMovie sets the frame rate based on the first clip added to the timeline. Add a known 24fps clip as the first clip you add to the timeline. You can then delete it later but the fps will stay at 24fps. You can't change the fps after you have already edited in the project. It must be first clip added to new project.

Apr 03, 2014 · In other words, iMovie’11 doesn’t support 60p video well. In order to make iMovie recognize 60p video, you can convert the 1080/60p to Apple IntermediateCodec (AIC) yourself at 60p, and iMovie will let you edit a 24p or 30p project.

Oct 03, 2017 · I edited the videos in iMovie iOS, used the Save Video option and then had OneDrive Upload the file- it's still in 30FPS. I then tried directly saving to OneDrive and the only option is 1080p.
