Mar 25, 2015 · There have been a few threads of people trying to run Windows 10 as a Hyper-V VM in windows 7 or 8 and complaining about sound, usb, webcam etc. I only have Windows 10 hosts so can't really confirm it works on old hosts but enhanced session mode (with sound, usb pass-through, iSight) works for me running 10 on a 10 host.

Open Hyper-V Manager Double click on the VM to bring up it's console. A prompt like this should come up: Click CONNECT Log on. Sound should be working then as the connection is now Remote Desktop Protocol based instead of Hyper-V Console based which does not do sound pass-through.

I would like to put it in to a Virtual however I have an issue with the sound. I send the audio to the phone system via an audio cable and 3.5mm jack. Can anyone suggest a work around that does not involve a RDP session as that will need a computer and basically defeats the purpose.
